Hello, I'm Kelly —
from Earth!
I grew up in Central California with a garden under my feet and a curiosity for how things grow, change, and evolve.
I learned cyanotype in 2017 on the rooftop of my New York City apartment — a small patch of sky, a tray of chemistry, and whatever I could find to press against fabric. It was such a fun way to decompress from the chaos of every day life.
In 2022, I moved to Vermont with my husband Grady to tend a bigger garden, slow down, and make more things with my hands. The dark Vermont winters turned out to be a gift — they pushed me deeper into the studio, craving light, building a practice. I started growing and foraging my own botanicals.
Now I work year-round: in the garden in summer, at the UV lights in winter, and always with Nandor (our welsh terrier aka Chief Snoopervisor), Tater & Fika (my muses and head gardeners) nearby. Grady and I travel whenever we can — the world keeps showing up in the work.
Kelly From Earth is an extension of all of it. The clothes, the prints, the process — they're all just ways of paying attention to what's around me and asking: what can I make from this? how can I capture this moment?
Thanks for visiting!

Nandor
Present for every print, every rinse, every decision and always at my feet.
She loves basking in the sunshine on the deck — but only after she’s done her property perimeter check for the 5th time. Nandor is the main character in all of our lives.
Tater
Tater is our top gardener and the cutest little kawaii cat around. Though she may be the smallest, she’s definitely the best hunter & gatherer.
Tater loves to sit in the wildflower garden & listen to the birds chirp above her year round.
Fika
Named after the Swedish tradition of a coffee break and connection, Fika is our strong arm security yet the snuggliest one of the bunch.
His favorite activity is going on long walks around the neighborhood and playing with his siblings.

Want to learn cyanotype?
I'm not scheduling public workshops just yet, but private and group sessions are something I love doing.
Reach out if you're interested — in Vermont or beyond!
